Programs that connect people
The Quaboag Connector offers ride programs designed to make transportation more affordable and accessible for local residents. From helping people get to work or training through the Palmer Rides to Work program, to providing free non-emergency medical transportation through a partnership with Baystate Health, these programs are built to meet the real needs of our communities.
Baystate Health: Convenient Care Van
The Baystate Health Convenient Care Van, launched in partnership with Baystate Wing Hospital, provides free non-emergency medical transportation to and from Baystate Health locations within the Quaboag Connector’s 10-town service area. This program helps residents—especially older adults and those without a car—access the care they need without worrying about how to get there.
Palmer Rides to Work
The Palmer Rides to Work program, a partnership between the Town of Palmer Community Development Department and the Quaboag Connector, provides half-priced rides ($1 per trip) for income-eligible Palmer residents traveling to work, job interviews, or employment-related training. Funded through the Community Development Block Grant, this program helps reduce transportation barriers and supports residents in finding and maintaining stable employment.
Ware Senior Van
The Ware Senior Van, offered in partnership with the Ware Council on Aging, provides weekday morning transportation for Ware residents aged 60 and older to any destination within the Quaboag Connector service area. The service operates on a donation basis, with a suggested fare of $2 per ride.
The Quaboag Connector is pleased
to offer free rides to our veterans.
